We are starting to get ready for our next adventure to Cornwall. What comes immediately to mind is getting some laundry done. While we have run a couple of loads, we need to focus a bit here. Everyone else is thinking the same thing so today and tomorrow will be busy on the third floor. We got our load in just before breakfast around 9:30. It turns out we pushed a wrong button and set our wash for 2 1/2 hours! Guess our clothes will be clean. We feel terrible because others were waiting for their turn! Yikes, embarrassing because we could not turn it off or shorten the time.
Changing subjects, we forgot to show a couple of roadside flowers yesterday!
Our 'in between meals' coffee counter
Lunch Buffet was pretty good today!
Andrea was pleased to see this book on the shelves of our library!
Around 3:00 we headed down to the Piazza to check out the 'Krapfen' doughnut festival. This is apparently a big deal here as a fundraiser for the Bogliasco community. It was an active place and we had to wait in line for about 10 minutes. The Krapfen were really good.....but basically a sugar-coated, creme filled doughnut. We made a bit of a mess of the whole process......which led us to walk further down in Bogliasco to the Melo cafe on the rocks of the beach, to wash it all down with an aperol spritz!
The entire beach area was mobbed for a nice sunny Sunday afternoon. School was out for the summer as of Friday afternoon and the youth of the area was dominant! The train from Genoa was crowded and the beaches were packed! We got a great table at the bar/cafe.......a bit surprising, but no complaints!
Ever see a Krapfen made?
Fresh tomato from Gianni's garden!
